Yamaguchi Tomoko to appear on a Fuji TV 9pm drama for the first time in 23 years

Yamaguchi Tomoko (54) will be appearing on Fuji TV’s 9 pm drama “Kansatsui Asagao” (Supervising Doctor Asagao) on Monday, July 8th.

The Monday, 9 p.m. drama slot is the most coveted spot and the last time Yamaguchi appeared on a Fuji TV drama was 23-years ago for the enormously popular drama “Long Vacation”, in which she starred alongside Kimura Takuya back in 1996.

When asked how it felt to return to do a Fuji TV drama, Yamaguchi said, “I feel relieved, it’s a feeling of like returning to your parent’s house on New Year’s Day or being reunited with a childhood friend”.

The drama is about a new American forensic scientist (played by Ueno) reveals the truth through dissection of the human body.   Yamaguchi Tomoko will play the role of a chief professor of a forensic classroom of a university where Ueno works.
