AbemaTV to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Yasuhiko Yoshikazu’s “Venus Senki” (Venus Wars) by distributing it for free on June 23rd

On June 23rd, AbemaTV will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Yasuhiko Yoshikazu’s “Venus Senki” (Venus Wars) by distributing it for free.

The work has been “sealed” away for 30 years from the public, will now be revived.

“Venus Wars” is a theatrical animation work which was released in 1989.  Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, known for his character design for the “Mobile Suit Gundam”, “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam”, “Combattler V”, “Super Atragon”, “Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn” and “Crusher Joe OAV”.  As well as the films “Arion”, “Mobile Suit Gundam F91”.

Yasuhiko created “Venus Wars” and it was one of the earlier manga released overseas and translated in English back in 1993 and one of the first anime films to be released in North America via VHS back in 1993.

The film will only be distributed for free for one day on June 23rd at 7:30 a.m., 7:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. (Note: technically two days, but Japan often includes 24 and 25 o’clock as part of the day).
