Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Katori Shingo release a joint statement in regards to Kitagawa Johnny’s death

Many wondered if former SMAP members and also former Johnny’s Jimusho talents, Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Katori Shingo would comment on the death of Kitagawa Johnny.

The three released a joint statement:

Last week, we heard that Johnny’s funeral took place.  We are now saying goodbye from where we are, with our own thoughts.

Thank you Johnny for pushing our backs each time.

We sincerely pray for your soul.

The three left Johnny’s at the end of 2016 with the dissolution of SMAP.  The group have been focused on activities online and are managed by their manager who once worked at Johnny’s but split from the company.  Nakai Masahiro and Kimura Takuya remained with Johnny’s Jimusho.
