Not far from Harajuku, is Shibuya Ao no Dokutsu, an area is popular for it’s blue Christmas lights. The whole place is illuminated in blue and may you be with family, friends or a love one, people like to take a stroll right through the grove of trees.

There is no cost to visit the area, just walk across from the main park and you will see the blue LED lights.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with Ao no Dokutsu because there are trees with blue lights at Keyakizaka in Roppongi Hills but after visiting the location, I was impressed.

They really go all out in blue, with some LED tricks that appear sporadically.

To get there easily, take the JR Yamanote Line to Harajuku Station and it’s just walk to Yoyogi Park. And look towards the blue lights across the street (look at the map below for the exact location).

And for 2019, Shibuya Ao no Dokutsu will begin on November 29th through December 31st!
