Reviewed back in October 1996:

Nanase Aikawa continues to be Japan’s rebel rocker!

With so much focus on Japanese pop stars, it’s great to have artists who are on the other side of the musical genre, who have their own style of music (and fashion style) and Nanase Aikawa and her good friends Puffy have manage to stick out and so far, 1996 has been a great year for them.

Here we are with a new single from Nanase Aikawa titled “Koigokoro” (translates to “Awakening of Love), a pretty cool love song (and if you have a chance, check out the awesome music video). Vocals are as top notch as Aikawa’s previous singles but I am really digging the musical arrangement and guitars for this track as well.

The coupling track “Tenshi no Youni Odorasette” is a cool rockin’ coupling song and one of her best coupling songs so far and another track featuring great guitar playing. The third track is the karaoke version of “Koigokoro”.

Overall, if you are a Nanase Aikawa fan, definitely pick “Koigokoro” up!
