THE COINLOCKERS will now continue on with 13 members

Back on December 2018, Akimoto Yasushi’s THECOINLOCKERS were introduced.

A group of 41 musicians from 12-19 years old performing and traveling around the country.

Fastforward to December 2019 and things are not going as planned.  The goal to sell out Zepp Tokyo for their 1st anniversary is not going well.

The official website has announced the following:

No new members will be added, the second generation auditions have been canceled and the group will go through a reorganization and will be reduced from their current 38 members to 13 members.

The 13 members are as follows:  Utsunomiya Mirai, Udo Yuuna, Emily, Kinumoto Natsumi, Goto Rika, Shimojima Kirara, Tamura Amiri, Narusawa Manami, HANNA, Funai Miku, Matsumoto Rina, Mori Futaba and Яuu.

Needless to say, there is anger on SNS from fans:

Do you have no intention to promote this group?

What about the fans who have supported all of them?

This decision was made too early!

The group was not that bad.

There was a lack of promotion!

Management is irresponsible
