Karata Erika was “not upset and seemed calm” during TV Tokyo drama shoot on January 23rd

Actress Karata Erika (22) was at a TV Tokyo drama shoot on January 23rd.  According to sources, she was not upset and seemed calm.

Karata currently is appearing in the TBS drama “Byoshitsu de Nenbutsu o Tonaenaide Kudasai” (Do not recite Bhudda in the Hospital Room) which airs on Friday at 10:00 p.m.  She will also be featured in the NHK BS Premium Drama “Kingyo Hime” (Goldfish Princess) which will begin in March.

While Karata’s management in Japan has issued a statement, they added that Karata has no commercial contracts, so there is no financial impact.

Karata’s affair has also been a big topic in Korea.  Karata who has been active in South Korea for several years, has starred in the drama “Arthdal Chronicles” which was broadcast last year.

Her Korean agency, BH Entertainment, has issued the following statement:

“We are truly sorry to have worried so many people with this news about Karata Erika. She regrets her actions and is currently reflecting on the matter. We bow our heads and apologize to the families, fans and everyone concerned, who have been deeply hurt by this incident. Once again, we apologize.”

Karata’s name has been #1 on search engine sites and the situation has led to an uproar.
