Bunshun is reporting that Nagase Tomoya (41) will be leaving Johnny’s Jimusho in the spring of 2021.
Since TOKIO has put a halt into music activities after the Yamaguchi Tatsuya scandal in 2018, many thought that TOKIO would release music in 2019 to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary. But the group didn’t announce any new songs, nor did they perform live.
Bunshun asked Nagase on February 25th if he was leaving Johnny’s and his reply “I don’t know”. When asked that they obtained various comments from sources, he replied “Oh yeah…I’m sorry, I can’t answer anything right now”. The reporter asked him, “Do you want to go solo?” and Nagase replied, “I can’t answer that”.
The reporter then asked, “When will TOKIO resume music activity?”, Nagase replied, “That’s not something I can answer”.
