Koike Teppei to star in “Rurouni Kenshi Kyoto” musical

Singer/actor Koike Teppei will be starring in the musical “Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto” which will be performed at the IHI Stage Around Tokyo in the fall of 2020.

IHI Stage Around Tokyo is a theater that opened in Toyosu on March 30, 2017 and rotates 360 degrees with 1,300 people in the audience. With the rotation of audience seats in the center of the theater and movement of the screen, video, music and lighting, you can experience a realism that is different from conventional stage performances.

Koike said of participating in the musical, “I have been reading the manga work since I was a kid. Not to mention, I enjoy the charms of the characters and the action scenes. I want to be able to show the duality of Himura Kenshin and the fighting scenes”.
