Voice actress Yamashita Mami has tested positive for COVID-19

Aoni Productions announced that their voice actress, Yamashita Mami has tested positive for COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).

Yamashita took a PCR test on April 6th and found out she tested positive on April 9th. Presently, she has no symptoms such as a fever or cough, she did lose taste and smell but has since gradually recovered. She is undergoing medical treatment at home under the guidance of the health center.

Aoni Productions said they will continue their efforts to prevent the spread of the infection, with the highest priority placed on the safety of their consumers, related parties, affiliated actors and employees, with the continued cooperation of the government.

Yamashita posted on Twitter that after she felt a change in her physical condition, she did not go out and she stayed at home. But she can’t get rid of the anxiety about having infected someone during the asymptomatic incubation period.

Yamashita wrote, “I’m really hoping that you don’t get infected. I will do my best to return to my important work as soon as possible”.

Yamashita is best known for her role as Margay on “Kemono Friends”.
