TV Asahi announced that two more “Hodou Station” staff members have tested positive for COVID-19

On April 12th, it was announced that Tomikawa Yuta (43), the main newscaster of TV Asahi’s “Hodo Station” had tested positive for COVID-19.

On April 15th, TV Asahi has now announced that a chief producer and a staff member of “Hodou Station” have now tested positive for COVID-19.

One of the men, the chief producer is the husband of free announcer Akae Tamao (45).  According to the statement, the chief producer started coughing a lot on April 10th, on April 12th, he felt tightness in the chest area and went to the hospital for a PCR test.

Meanwhile, another staff member said he had a high fever and severe back pain on April 11th.  The next day, his high fever continued and went to the hospital and tested positive for the novel coronavirus due to mild pneumonia.

TV Asahi announced that they will completely block the Roppongi head office building in Tokyo for three days from April 17th to thoroughly disinfect the whole building for three days.  No visitors will be allowed until after April 20th.
