On April 15th, TV Asahi announced that a chief producer and a staff member of “Hodou Station” have now tested positive for COVID-19.
One of the men, the chief producer is the husband of free announcer Akae Tamao (45).
TBS Radio has now announced on April 18th that Akae Tamao tested positive for novel coronavirus.
Akae and her daughter took a PCR test and she tested positive, while her daughter tested negative. Akae stopped all social activitieswith her family from April 11th ownwards and once she recovers, she will return back to do radio.
TBS Radio announced that since April 13th, when her family was suspected of being infected with the novel coronavirus, she did not appear in the studio. The last day that Akae was at TBS Radio in Akasaka, Minato-ku, TBS Broadcasting was back on April 9th, and there were no co-stars or any production contacts.
