Actor, Playwright, Director Wada Shu has passed away due to COVID-19

Actor, playwright and director Wada Shu (81) (also father of anime screenwriter Urobuchi Gen) has passed away  on April 23rd due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The announcement was made on a Facebook theater organization which Wada belonged to.

Wada’s last post was on Facebook with the comment, “Somehow, the world is no longer a joke. I am refraining from working on any movies because it is not permitted”.

Wada appeared on many films in his career including “Trick”, “Lost Love”, “Sora to umi wo koete”.
