NHK announcer Sumiyoshi Miki who tested positive for the novel coronavirus has been discharged from the hospital on May 3rd.
On April 19th, Sumiyoshi was hospitalized due to high fever and pneumonia and was tested for novel coronavirus. When she tested positive, she stayed in the hospital for treatment and based on the judgment of the medical institution and public health center, her symptoms are now stable and will continue to quarantine for two weeks.
Sumiyoshi expressed her gratitude to her fans, listeners and medical staff for their continued support during her hospitalization.
