State of Emergency in Japan will be extended through May 31st

The Japanese government has extended Japan’s State of Emergency until May 31st.

The State of Emergency, which began with Tokyo and six other prefectures began on April 7th and would later extend throughout Japan, was to expire on Wednesday.  But parks, museums, libraries and a few other facilities will be re-opened as long as they are able to take strict anti-virus measures.

Residents are still asked to not travel outside their home region and the bars and nightclubs will continue to be shut down.
