In Japan, there is a lot of makeup trends and the latest is the Chinese-style makeup trend known as Chiborg (Beautiful Chinese women who look like dolls).
As TikTok becomes more popular in Japan, and with YouTubers such as Shikanoma showcasing makeup trends, Japanese are getting the opportunity to see how to utilize these trends.
And recently AKB48 member, Yokoyama Yui showcased her Chiborg makeup on her Instagram. Yokoyama wrote, “I made it with cosmetics I had at home. Glossy purple eye shadow with crimson lipstick. I will show three photos of how it makes your skin look beautiful”.
