Yokoyama Yui graduates from AKB48

AKB48 member Yokoyama Yui (29) a.k.a. “Yuihan” has officially graduated from the group.

The second generation AKB48G general director, Yokoyama Yui performed her last time as an AKB48 member at the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara. And joining her on the final stage performance was the first generation AKB48G general director, former AKB48 member Takahashi Minami (30) who congratulated Yokoyama and gave her a bouquet of flowers.

Yokoyama performed 19 songs including songs from the sub-unit Not Yet, which she was a part of.  Yokoyama joined as a kenkyuusei (research student) back in 2009 and she was a hard working idol that many trusted, especially for her determination as she traveled by bus for 16 hours from Kyoto to Tokyo for lessons.

After the performance, Yokoyama took to Twitter and wrote, “I graduated from AKB48. There were many things I got to do, It was really fun!!! Thank you for 12 years! I met a lot of people. I had various experiences. Thanks to AKB48!”.
