Fuji TV’s “FNS 27-Jikan TV” is canceled, the first time it will not be broadcasted on television in 34 years

It was announced on May 24th that Fuji TV’s “FNS 27-Jikan TV” will not be broadcasted this year.

Initially, it was planned for mid-August, but because of the coronavirus infection, the decision was made based on safety management.

This will be the first time the broadcast will not air on television since it was first broadcast 34 years ago.

As for why it was not delayed into the fall, it is impossible to know if there will be a second wave of infection, so Fuji TV decided to cancel the broadcast for 2020.

Back in 1987, the 27-hour TV was planned as a special program.  Originally, it was a 24-hour broadcast known as “FNS Ichi Okuri no TV Yumeretto”. In 1997, the special became a 27-hour broadcast and a theme is planned each year.
