w-inds. Ogata Ryuichi is leaving the group and retire from the entertainment industry

Ogata Ryuichi (34) is leaving w-inds. and will retire from the entertainment industry due to psychosomatic disorder.

Rising Production released the following statement:

Ogata Ryuichi has been feeling extreme pressure and anxiety in recent years and as a result of medical treatment, he was diagnosed with psychosomatic disorder.  He said he had asked to leave in order to take care of himself and we had repeated discussions.

Ogata, who made the decision before the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut said, “For the past fgew years, I have been feeling mentally unstable.  It was a pleasure to be part of w-inds.  But I was worried about that.  The days I spent with the members Ryohei and Keita are irreplaceable and I would like to debote myself to seeing you when I’m in in good spirits.  I thank the fans for supporting me for 19 years”.

Chiba Ryohei (35) and Tachibana Keita (34) will continue on as wi-inds.
