“Seven Samurai” and “Godzilla” actor Kato Shigeo has passed away

Kato Shigeo (94) who has stared in numerous “Godzilla” related films (“Godzilla 1985”, “The Return of Godzilla”, “Terror of Mecha Godzilla”, “Godzilla vs. Hedorah”) and also on film such as “Seven Samurai”, “Uratora Q”, “Mothra”, “Aa Bakudan” has passed away.

Kato has had a long career as an actor since starring in “Minato e Kita Otoko” (1952) up to his final appearance in the film “Hama no Kioku” (Memory of the Beach) in 2019.
