Former AKB48 members take part in “Hanarete ite mo”, an AKB48 message song/music video

Former AKB48 members Maeda Atsuko (28), Oshima Yuko (31), Itano Tomomi (28), Shinoda Mariko (34), Haruna Kojima (32), Takahashi Minami (29), Sashihara Rino (HKT48) (27) and Yamamoto Sakaya (NMB48) (26) are featured in the AKB48 message song “Hanarete Ite mo”.

The video almost features all Kami7 with the exception of Watanabe Mayu who has retired from the entertainment industry.

The video was released today and promotes safety during these COVID-19 times of wearing a mask and washing your hands.

Maeda Atsuko said, “I am happy that everyone can sing the lyrics written by Akimoto-san.  I hope that it reaches the hearts of many people”.

Oshima Yuko said, “It’s been a long time since I sung with friends and it was very encouraging.  I hope that those who listend to this song will be encouraged and energized”.

Itano Tomomi said, “Although we couldn’t meet, when I listened to the song, I felt like I was connected to everyone.  I was encouraged as well!  I’m glad to have a group of friends who can work during this situation”.

Shinoda Mariko said, “If there is something I can do during a difficult situation, even though I have graduated, working with active members, I’m happy everyone can work together and feel better”.

Takahashi Minami said, “Each person is fighting in various situations.  It’s a tough time, but after listening to this song, I’d be happy if a gentle breeze would blow to everyone’s heart”.
