NHK continues to receive request comments to re-air the complete “Professional Shigoto no Ryugi SMAP Special Kanzhenhan”

When it comes to tough times, Japan has always had SMAP to rely on, until the group disbanded in 2016.  But people are still wanting to see SMAP and in this case a rebroadcast of a special episode on NHK of “Professional Shigoto no Ryugi SMAP Special Kanzhenhan” (Professional Work Style of SMAP Special Complete Edition).

The two hashtags can be seen on SNS: ＃SMAP完全版 and＃nhk_rerun（再放送）

Since NHK requested for people to comment which program they would like to see broadcasted back in April, the momentum of people wanting to see the SMAP special rebroadcasted continues to grow strong.

It is said that it was not possible for NHK to rebroadcast the special because Johnny’s Jimusho owns the copyright of SMAP including secondary usage.

When NHK’s public relation department was contacted, they replied “We do not have any plans to braodcast the program at this time.  The program to be rebroadcast is determined based on the request from viewers and various requirements.  As soon as it is decided, we will inform you on our program’s website”.

But with each member doing their own separate thing and the only semblance of a group is with Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Katori Singo via Atarashii Chizu.  The chances of seeing all five together, even for a rebroadcast, is quite slim.
