Comedian Shoji Tomoharu who tested positive for COVID-19 has been hospitalized

On August 14th, Shoji Tomoharu was announced to have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and was quarantining from home.  While wife, former Morning Musume member, Fujimoto Miki and her children were said to have no symptoms.

Shoji posted on Twitter that he was hospitalized on August 15th and he made clear that when the symptoms appeared, he refused contact with people and quarantined at home.  He also stayed away from his family and was hospitalized yesterday due to the decision made by the public health center.  He apologized that he may have caused the infection outbreak because of poor measures.

Shoji was among the four comedians who did a YouTube live video on August 8th with comedians Endo Shozo, Kori Takayuki and Yamamoto Keiichi.  All have since tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
