Back in 1973, Tezuka Osamu wrote the manga series “Barbara” and now a live action film directed by Tezuka Makoto and starring Inagaki Goro and Nikaido Fumi is in production, with the poster having been released on August 24th.
The film is set for a November 20th release.

The manga series which was serialized in Shogakukan’s “Big Comic” from July 1973 to May 1974 revolves around a novelist named Mikura Yosuke who gained fame as an aesthetic genius and unfortunately suffers from an abnormal libido.
One day at Shinjuku Station, he meets an alcoholic named Barbara and has her stay at his apartment. And while having her stay at his home, he learns about black magic and the world of black magic through Barbara and others. But as he starts to fall for Barbara’s charm, it will change Mikura forever.
