Matsutoya Yumi to sing the theme song for a drama for the first time 15 years

Singer/songwriter Matsutoya Yumi (66) will be in charge of the theme song for a TBS drama for the first time in 15 years.

The song “Shiranai-doushi” (I don’t know) will be used for the drama “Koisuru Haha-tachi” (Mothers in Love) which will begin in October.

Matsutoya’s TBS drama song  “Manatsu no Yoru no Yume” (Midsummer Night’s Dream) for the drama “Dare ni mo Ienai” (Do not tell anyone) sold over a million copies back in 1993.  Her last TBS drama song was “Tsuite yuku wa” (I will follow you) back in 2005 for “Yume de Aimasho” (Let’s Meet in a Dream).
