Award winning composer Tsutsumi Kyohei has passed away

It was announced that award winning composer Tsutsumi Kyohei (80) has passed away on October 7th due to pneumonia.

Nichion, in behalf of Tsutsumi’s personal music publishing office said that Tsutsumi has been receiving medical treatment at home for some time.

A funeral was already held with close relatives.  There are no plans for a farewell party due to the novel coronavirus.

His top singles which he composed includes Judy Ongg’s 1979 single “Miserarete”, Kondo Masahiko’s 1980 single “Sneaker Blues” and 1981 single “Blue Jeans Memory”, Ishida Ayumi’s 1968 single “Blue Light Yokohama”, Ozaki Kiyohiko “Mata au himade”, Iwasaki Hiromi’s 1975 single”Romance”, Oota Hiromi’s 1975 single “Momen no handkerchief”, NOKKO’s 1994 single “Ningyo”, Uchida Yuki’s 1994 debut single “TENCA o Torou -Uchida no Yabou-“) KinKi Kids 1999 single “Yamenaide, PURE” and TOKIO’s “AMBITIOUS JAPAN!”.

His single “Miserarete” is #4 on top 5 sales from a successful composer.
