Yamashita Tomohisa has left Johnny’s Jimusho

Johnny’s Jimusho is reporting that Yamashita Tomohisa (35) has left the company on October 31st.

The company released a statement, “Our talent Yamashita Tomohisa has left the company on October 31, 2020.  We would like to express our sincere gratitude to al the fans who have been supportive and we apologize for the sudden report. Yamashita has always had a strong desire to build a career oversees.  Therefore, while adjusting the contract details, etc., we have created an environment where it is easy for him to take on the challenge of overseas activities after belonging to our company.  We have continued discussions in the future but Yamashita intends to move his base of activities overseas and to participate in contracts overseas that were currently offered.  We have mutually decided to terminate his contract”.

Fans who found out through his fan club were devastated by the news.  One wrote, “I’m crying that Yamashita is leaving.  It’s hard”, another wrote, “I’m supporting him and I look forward to see what he will show us in the future”.

Both Johnny’s Jimusho members Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya were in hot water for dining and drinking together back on July 30th and a female model they invited to their table (and Yamashita invited to his hotel for eight hours) was underage.

The model has been fired by her agency last week, while Yamashita’s activities were suspended by Johnny’s and Kamenashi was punished and had to reflect on his actions.

It has been rumored after the suspension that Yamashita would leave Johnny’s and the rumor turned out to be true.
