MISIA to hopefully return back to music activity on December 12th after suffering from a spinal fracture

On November 23rd, MISIA briefly appeared on her radio show Nippon Broadcasting System’s “MISIA’s All Night Nippon Gold”, over a week after falling from a horse during her TBS “NEWS23” interview which left her with a fractured spine.

It was said it would take about six weeks until she could make a return, but when Shimizu Michiko, who is temporarily hosting the radio show until MISIA gets better, talked to MISIA for 10 minutes in the second half.

MISIA said, “I apologize for making a lot of noise due to my injury from falling of a horse, while the world is still in trouble due to the coronavirus. Currently, I am spending my time at home wearing a corset.  It’s been a week since the fall and things are getting much easier and if things go well, I was told the pain will go away in about three weeks.  So, I will take care of myself in hopes to prevent pain in the future.  There is pain when I twist my body or raise my arms but I’m gradually learning on how to move without so much pain”.

According to MISIA’s agency, they hope for her to return on December 12th for the NHK Fukuoka Broadcasting Station’s 90th year anniversary event in Fukuoka City.  But so far, she’s still on schedule to perform at NHK’s “Kouhaku Uta Gassen”.
