Imports of Spaghetti and Macaroni to Japan has increased significantly

According to Yokohama Customs, the amount of spaghetti imported to ports and airports throughout Japan was about 142,000 tons as of the end of October, which is about 4,000 tons more than the one-year import three years ago.  This is highest ever of pasta-related imports, more than likely due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Also, the consumption of the pasta is because of the ease of cooking at home and popular with children, as more schools are closing and the government asking for the public to refrain from going out due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The pasta and pasta sauce has disappeared from the supermarket

For those who are poor, the cheapest forms of carbs is pasta!

As an agriculture person, please eat rice, but I also like spaghetti.

This is true, I ate the most pasta in my life this year.

Pasta has been disappearing from shelves since March.

It’s best not to call it pasta.  Pasta is the general name for flour paste. Thin noodles is just spaghetti.

Spaghetti are just as easy to cook as cup noodle.  In the case of white rice, it is often troublesome to clean up the rice cooker afterward.  Also, another reason why frozen foods are popular.
