CJ Entertainment has announced they are collecting opinions from each member’s agency and also discussion with the artists regarding their future activities with IZ*ONE.
And while the group was listed as one of the top selling female K-Pop groups in 2020 and also have done amazingly well since their debut on October 29, 2018, IZ*ONE’s contract ends at the end of April and part of the challenge is that each member belongs to different agencies:
Kwon Eunbi and Kim Chaewon are from Woolim Entertainment, Choi Yena is from Yuehua, Lee Chaeyeon is from WM Entertainment, Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin are from Starship Entertainment, Jo Yuri is from Stone Music Entertainment, Kang Hyewon is from 8D Creative, Kim Minju is from Urban Works Entertainment.
While the Japanese members Miyawaki Sakura and Yabuki Nako are represented by AKS and are members of HKT48, Honda Hitomi is also represented by AKS and is a member of AKB48 (Team 8).
It remains to be seen of what the decision will be as we approach April 2021.
