Berryz Kobo's Tokunaga Chinami's contract with Up-Front to end at the end of February

Berryz Kobo has been inactive for quite some time and it was announced by Up-Front that the contract with member Tokunaga Chinami (28) will end at the end of February.

Tokunaga was selected as Hello! Project Kids in 2002 and active as Berryz Kobo in 2004. She went to study abroad to study English after the suspension of activities in 2015.

Since Tokunaga got a job at an English-speaking workplace starting this spring, it was decided to end her exclusive management contract.

Tokunaga will also retire from performing arts activities when her contract ends at the end of February.

This time, the exclusive management contract with UP-FRONT PROMOTION will end at the end of February. I returned from New Zealand, where I was studying abroad at the end of June 2020, but from this spring I have decided to work in an English-speaking job!
