Kato Koji and Yoshimoto Kogyo to part ways

Yoshimoto Kogyo announced on March 9th that they will be ending the contract with Kato Koji (51), a member of the comedy duo Gokuraku Tombo and also host of NTV’s “Sukiri”.

Kato signed and exclusive contract with Yoshimoto Kogyo back on October 1, 2019.

The statement were as follows, “Talent Kato Koji was engaged in performing arts activities with an agent contract with us, but as a result of mutual discussions, the term of the contract has expried. We will terminate the agent contract on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. We will continue to support Kato Koji’s success in a new environment. We would like to ask fans who are concerned for their continued support”.

Kato was among the high profile comedians of Yoshimoto Kogyo of their handling of the dark business scandal which happened back in the summer of 2019.
