“Shin Kamen Rider” film to be released in 2023, to be directed by Anno Hideaki

In addition to the announcement made by Toei about “Kamen Rider BLACK” receiving a reboot in spring 2022 titled “Kamen Rider BLACK SUN”, a new movie titled “Shin Kamen Rider” which is celebrating its 50th anniversary was announced.  And the director will be Anno Hideaki, best known for his work with “Neon Genesis Evangelion” and “Shin Godzilla”.

Anno released a statement through Toei, “Fifty years ago, most of the elementary school boys at that time were enthusiastic about life-sized heroes called Kamen Rider. I was one of them. The great benefits I received from the TV program will be made in the form of a movie 50 years later”.
