Saying farewell to IZ*ONE (Thank You For the Awesome Memories!) – Part 3 (Second half of 2019)

Having covered IZ*ONE since the beginning, and the members even before IZ*ONE’s debut with the weekly reports for “Produce 48”. These last two and half years, each of these members brought us nothing but happiness and fantastic music.

They entertained fans worldwide and in honor of IZ*ONE, we will do our “Saying farewell to IZ*ONE (Thank you for the Awesome Memories!). This first part covers part 3 (The second half of 2019)!

By July 2019, IZ*ONE would announced their Japan Tour. The concerts would be held at Chiba Makuhari Messe 1-3 Hall on August 21st, Kobe World Memorial Hall on September 1st, Marine Messe Fukuoka on September 8 and Saitama Super Arena on September 25th.

IZ*ONE then announced they will be in New York City for KCON on July 6-7 and in Los Angeles for KCON on August 15-16. KCON released a video:

IZ*ONE won “Most Popular Artist” & “The Performing Artist Female” category at MGMA (M2 x GENIE MUSIC AWARDS).

IZ*ONE announces that their third Japanese single would be titled “Vampire” and announces isgning parties for Tokyo and Osaka.

IZ*ONE heads to Los Angeles for KCON LA:

It was announced that Miyawaki Sakura and Jang Wonyoung to join the runway for TGC 2019.

IZ*ONE x IZE Photobook was announced for a September release:

The first teaser for “Vampire” was released:

On September 4th, it was announced that Kim Minju and Kim Chaewon would join Sakura and Wonyoung at TGC 2019.

By September 17th, “Vampire” was released:

It’s Kwon Eunbi’s birthday and the group celebrated their leader’s birthday on VLIVE but it’s the first time where we saw many of the members in tears as they showed their gratitude to their leader.

On October 5th, IZ*ONE appeared at TGC Kitakyushu on the runway:

IZ*ONE promotions for “EYES ON ME: THE MOVIE”:

IZ*ONE promotes their upcoming album and celebrates their first anniversary.

IZ*ONE collaborates with ABC MART and promotes VANS “FALKEN”:

It was announced that IZ*ONE would make their comeback on November 11th.

And on November 4th, “BLOOM*IZ” and songs featured on IZ*ONE’s first full-length album was announced:

On November 7th, the scandal regarding a producer manipulating the results of “ProduceX101” and “Produce48” has now affected IZ*ONE’s K-Pop Comeback s their awaited first full-length album scheduled for a November 11th release has been postponed. As Mnet, M2 and other digital channels have postponed the broadcast of IZ*ONE’s comeback show.

All IZ*ONE events and appearances have been canceled for the rest of November and December, Miyawaki Sakura’s radio show is temporarily hosted by AKB48 and Honda Hitomi’s radio show is temporarily on break.

On November 17th, As IZ*ONE has not made any appearances, the global pop group won one of the spots of “VLIVE Global Artist Top 12” award at the 2019 VLIVE Awards V Heartbeat.

Fans continue to show their support for IZ*ONE during these tough times:

On December 30th, the CEO for CJ Entertainment Heo Min Heoi held an apology press conference on December 30th at CJ ENM Center in Seoul.

The CEO told reporters,. “We will support everything related to the resumption of activities (of IZ*ONE and X1). We will continue to discuss the resumption of activities with the support of the members and the support of fans”.

In addition, “We will give up all of Mnet’s profits from the future activities of the two groups. We will implement damage compensation as soon as possible. This incident is our fault and not the fault of the artists who debuted or of the trainees. We asked everyone to help protect them together”.
