Saying farewell to IZ*ONE (Thank You For the Awesome Memories!) – Part 5 (Second half of 2020)

Having covered IZ*ONE since the beginning, and the members even before IZ*ONE’s debut with the weekly reports for “Produce 48”. These last two and half years, each of these members brought us nothing but happiness and fantastic music.

They entertained fans worldwide and in honor of IZ*ONE, we will do our “Saying farewell to IZ*ONE (Thank you for the Awesome Memories!). This part covers part 5 (The second half of 2020)!

On August 11th it was announced that “ONEIRIC THEATER”, IZ*ONE’s online concert will be on September 13th. The concert will be feature AR (artificial reality) and XR (extended reality) effects.

September 1st is Ahn Yujin’s birthday and on the official IZ*ONE YouTube channel, staff shared a video of Ahn Yujin singing an English cover of Stephanie Poetri’s “I Love You 3000”. Check it out!

On September 3rd, IZ*ONE’s first Japanese full-length album “TWELVE” was announced and will feature 12 songs.

On September 5th, a new VLIVE featuring Chaekkura. We get to watch Miyawaki Sakura and Lee Chaeyeon who are going to try a super spicy ramyeon. Jo Yuri, Honda Hitomi and Yabuki Nako join in as well.

IZ*ONE has a new show titled “ON TACT” that will air on Mnet on September 23rd and September 30th and a teaser for the show has been released:

On October 2nd, IZ*ONE’s Kwon Eunbi, Lee Chaeyeon and Honda Hitomi had a chance to have a dance session with 1Million’s Lia Kim for the show “IZ*ONE ON:TACT” and for those who want to see the final result of the dance training, check out this video!

On October 27th, it was announced that IZ*ONE sold 135,000 copies of “Twelve” in their first week and was #1 on the “Oricon Weekly Album Charts” on October 27th with their first Japanese album.

On November 5th, it was announced that IZ*ONE’s first Japanese photobook titled “IZ*ONE SPECIAL SURPR*IZ PHOTOBOX” (tentative title) is set for release on March 10, 2021. The book will be released by Shogakukan.

On November 23rd, it was announced that the group’s upcoming comeback will be announced on December 7th and their fourth mini-album will be titled “‘One-reeler’ / Act IV”.

On December 6th, In a night in which was to be expected as BTS would sweep the MMA2020, BLACKPINK would win “Best Dance (Female) for “How You Like That” and Monsta X winning “Best Performance”, The Top 10 winners were BTS, BLACKPINK, IZ*ONE, EXO’s Baekhyun, Im Young Woong.

On December 7th, IZ*ONE wins “FAVORITE FEMALE GROUP” at MAMA 2020.

IZ*ONE sold over 100,000 copies of “One-REeler Act IV” in three hours and they are also the only girl group to have three albums surpass 100,000 copies in sales on the first day on the Hanteo Charts. “One-Reeler Act IV” becomes the third highest 1st day album sales by a girl’s group.

IZ*ONE’s “Sequence” performance video was released:

On December 13th, IZ*ONE won a Year’s Artist Award at The Fact Music Award and performed “Secret Story of the Swan”.

On December 16th, IZ*ONE won their first award for “Panorama” on “The Show” (their 22nd overall TV music show award).

On December 28th, a teaser for the Blu-ray/Kit Video of IZ*ONE’s “Online Concert – Oneiric Theater” was released. Pre-Orders begin on December 29th and Release Date is on January 29th.

On December 30th, a new teaser trailer for IZ*ONE’s “Eating Trip 2” was released and features the group visiting Yeosu.

It was announced on the Starship agency YouTube channel that IZ*ONE will be partnering with PEPSI for a STARSHIP K-POP CAMPAIGN:
