SKE48 veteran Yamauchi Suzuran announced that she is graduating

Yamauchi Suzuran (26) is a veteran of AKB48 before moving to SKE48.

After making her debut with AKB48 at the age of 14, Yamauchi announced at the SKE48 Summer Zepp Tour 2021 at Zepp Nagoya that she is graduating from the group.

Yamauchi said, “I joined AKB48 and later joined SKE48 and have been doing this for about 12 years, and I had a lot of experiences that I couldn’t imagine. I love idols. I love SKE48. I love the glittering times, everyone’s cheers, myself in the spotlight and the idols who really glittered. Butsince entering SKE48, I have had also uneasy times. The fans and everyone in Team S supported me and I really love SKE48. Thank you everyone!”.

Yamauchi will focus on a solo career and said, “As a solo artist, I will continue to pursue entertainment activities while aiming to become a golf teaching professional, which was my dream when I was little and I will take on more challenges balancing entertainment activities and golf”.

Later in the day, Yamauchi posted on her SKE48 blog, “I’m Yamauchi Suzuran. I announced my graduation. It’s been about 8 years since I transferred to SKE48. It was the fans who always pushed me forward. Thank you very much. As for my graduation, I wanted to work hard toward my future dream because of the warm support of everyone. The appeal of the sport of golf, which has helped me grow, aiming to qualify for golf teaching, which has been my dream since I was little. Golf is a life for me. To the group who raised me. To the people I met through golf. To my family. And to give back to my fans. I’m graduating from the group. I hope you will support my future as I walk toward my dream. I look forward to working with you until the end. Thank you very much”.

Yamauchi’s graduation is scheduled at the end of November. She debuted as a 9th generation member of AKB48 and transferred to SKE48 Team S in 2014. She started playing golf since junior high which she became interested in because of her father and aimed to become a golf professional and idol.

Yamauchi appears in the TV Tokyo program “Minna de BINGOLF”.
