℃-ute member Nakajima Saki will halt performing arts activities to study abroad

Nakajima Saki (27), a former member of C-ute (which disbanded back in 2017) will suspend entertainment activities at the end of December, as she plans to study abroad.

Nakajima said, “Thank you to everyone who supports mes and to everyone who has taken care of me. Thank you for always supporting Nakajima Saki. This time, I will be studying abroad, and I will suspend my activities for a while. I decided to leave Japan at this time because I wanted to jump into a country I had never lived in, feel the culture and nature of that country, talk with people I had never met, and broaden my horizons. I have been with Hello! since I was 8 years old! Although I was immature in the project, I had a lot of experience as an idol. The various emotions I encountered in that process are currently part of me. After we disbanded, I experienced the rigor of acting as an actress, which I couldn’t learn when I was an idol, and the feeling that my world gradually expanded as I encountered various values. At the same time, through participation in the Mori Satogawa Sea Project of the Ministry of the Environment, I became involved with ambassadors and realized familiar social issues, and my horizons expanded not only to the world of performing arts but also to the earth itself, and I experienced a wider world. I want to do it, and I will announce it today. But! First of all, I have to learn English, so I will do my best to study! It’s been about 20 years since I’ve been in the entertainment industry, and I’m grateful that I still care about it and that many people support me. I will not be able to do activities in Japan, but I am planning to update SNS at my own pace, so I would be grateful if you could continue to watch over me with warm eyes”.
