Model/talent Kinoshita Yukina had retired from the entertainment world since July 2020, after having a troublesome 2019 from a lawsuit in which she allegedly threatened a tapioca store owner where her sister worked and also a divorce with FUJIWARA comedian, Fujimoto Toshifumi which came along with speculation of affairs.
The lawsuit stemmed from Kinoshita tweeting about the tapioca shop (which was later deleted) and sending a threatening DM to the owner. Unfortunately, while the tweet was taken down, it was retweeted and the owner said he lost business. While Kinoshita insists it was a short outburst and being protective of her sister.
On October 27h, the lawsuit was handed down and Kinoshita will have to pay 400,000 yen ($3,529 US) to the tapioca shop owner (who was seeking damages of 10 million yen = $88,230 US).
Kinoshita opened a YouTube channel and apologized to everyone she made feel uncomfortable.
Kinoshita said, “I have a strong desire to stand in front of everyone and work, and I’ve been thinking about various jobs for the past two years, but I thought I could only do this job. I want to work for my children, my daughters. I have to work and I want to do my best, so I would like to continue working and starting from scratch”.
