Former talent Kinoshita Yukina posted a YouTube video in regards to comments that Tamura Atsushi (of the comedy duo London Boots Ichi-go Ni-go) said about her on his YouTube channel.

Tamura is working on a project called “Second Chance” in which he talks to celebrities given a second chance such as Takachi Noboru (who received a suspended sentence for violating the Stimulant Drug Control Law) and former EE Jump member, Goto Yuki, who was in prison for theft.

In regards to Kinoshita Yukina, Tamura said he doesn’t talk to her anymore and he doesn’t want to talk to her anymore.

Tamura said, that she should continue to be remorseful until she is able to convince the victim. And criticized her for her apologies on YouTube, when those apologies should be made in private to the owner of the tapioca store.  Tamura went on to criticize Kinoshita for her Instagram posts and her having fun at barbecues during the pandemic.

Kinoshita retired from the entertainment industry after her scandal for threatening a tapioca store owner of a store her sister worked at and the owner sued her for defamation and loss of profit from her going public on her social media. Kinoshita has said she was upset and overreacted but unfortunately, it hurt the store’s business and she was sentenced to pay 400,000 yen to the owner of the tapioca shop.

Kinoshita said on her YouTube, “I’m angry for the first time in awhile. Why do you say those things? I respected him when I was in the entertainment world, and even though I was involved with him because we had the same birthday, I wondered why he might feel like this”.

Kinoshita goes on to explain that at the end of 2021, not long after she opened her YouTube channel in October 2021, she was told of Tamura’s upcoming project.

Her staff who interacted with Tamura received an offer to appear in Tamura’s new project to be released in 2022. At around May 2022, when the proposed content changed from dialogue with people who dropped out of the entertainment industry to a “Second chance program”, she declined the offer.

Kinoshita explained why she refused to appear on the show, “It’s really a second chance but I never been arrested by police or problems with drugs… I am retired from the entertainment world, in a sense, and it’s a second chapter, but I did not go to jail. I apologize for what I did. I’m apologetic, retired, and so on, and I still have trouble sleeping, but it’s a different second career” and explained her life and what happened, does not fit the concept of the program.
