The 38th Best Jeanist 2021 Awards was announced and the winners for this year is King & Prince member Nagase Ren, actress Araki Yuko, voice actress Hayashibara Megumi and comedian Higashino Koji.

Araki said, “I’m really, really happy to receive such a wonderful award. Since I started to like fashion, jeans have always been a companion to me, and I’ve always enjoyed them in fashion. By receiving the award, I feel that everyone has told me that jeans look good on me. I would like to continue to enjoy jeans and incorporate them into fashion so that they will meet this award. As a person who loves jeans, I would like to enjoy while exploring various ways to enjoy jeans. Thank you”.

Hayashibara said, “As like past works also exist now, I feel that interesting things are interesting and good things are good, regardless of whether they are old or new. It’s not that the denim itself isn’t necessarily new, and because it’s new, I’m nervous and excited to wear it, and although it’s old and tired, I’ve have a history of it together. Higashino created a YouTube channel about denim titled “Higashino Denim” and said, “Thank you. I started YouTube channel called “Higashino Denim” from February and March of this year, and I am 54 years old this year. At the time of my debut, I thought that I had to be fashionable because I was a celebrity. But thankfully in Tokyo, when I was busy with TV programs, the stylist prepared me when I entered the TV station just by moving from home to TV station and from TV station to home. So I wasn’t interested in clothes at all, and I thought it would be dangerous if I kept going. So I started YouTube with the idea of ​​pursuing denim. I travel all over Japan and abroad and I happened to enter Big John’s shop in Okayama and started to see Higashino denim for the first time, and then I bought various denims that were weak for a year.
