On December 4th, former Morning Musume member Tsuji Nozomi got into an accident having contact with a bicycler (no one was injured) in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo.
Tsuji took to her blog on December 7th to address the accident:
As some have reported, the other day I was driving a car and I had a contact accident with someone riding a bicycle.
Fortunately, the other person was not injured but I sincerely apologize.
I am always careful when driving, but I need to focus my mind again and I will be more careful with traffic rules and my actions.
I also deeply regret the inconvenience caused to all the people involved at work.
I am very sorry.
