Disney Japan and Matsu Takako released a statement on Kanda Sayaka’s death

Disney Japan and Matsu Takako released a statement in regards to Kanda Sayaka’s death.

Kanda Sayaka did the voice of Anna in the Japanese dub version of the film “Frozen” (Japan title: Ana to Uki no Jo-ou), Matsu Takako did the Japanese voice dub of Elsa.

Disney Japan’s statement is as follows:

Kanda Sayaka, who was active as a Japanese voice actor in the role of Anna in the “Frozen” series, has passed away. Mr. Kanda brought life to Anna, who was loved all over the world, with emotional expressions and a beautiful, transparent voice which told the story. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and condolences”.

Through Disney Japan, Matsu Takako issued the following statement, “There is no words to convey of hearing Kanda Sayaka has passed away. Working together with her is an irreplaceable treasure for me. Thank you very much. I pray for your soul from the bottom of my heart. If you are touched by the story, Anna will always talk to us and smile. Thank you, Anna”.
