Watanabe Naomi tested positive for COVID-19

Yoshimoto Kogyo reported on their official website that Watanabe Naomi, who is currently active in New York, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Watanabe felt a slight fever after finishing work and underwent a PCR test and was diagnosed as positive. Her manager also underwent a PCR test and tested positive.

Both of them are in isolation at their homes according to the rules of the state of New York and are now recovering.

In the US, there is a growing alarm of the increase of COVID cases in the Tri-State region.  Governor Kathy Hochul said that 21,027 positive test results were reported in New York state on Thursday, setting a new single-day record.
