Iijima Naoko and Sorimachi Takashi reunite in “Aibo season 20” New Year’s Day Special

Actress Iijima Naoko and actor Sorimachi Takashi will reunite for the first time in 16 years for the drama “Aibo season 20”, which will be a New Year’s Day special airing at 9:00 p.m. on TV Asahi.

Iijima will play Yuri, the older sister of Kaburagi Wataru (portrayed by Sorimachi). The two last played a couple in the Yomiuri TV/NTV drama “Nihon no Shindora – Sugihara Chiune Monogatari Roku Sen-ri no Inochi no Visa”.

Iijima said of working with Sorimachi, “It was the first time in 16 years that I co-starred with Sorimachi-san. We used to play the role of a married couple, but this time as sister and brother. I had a family relationship with Mr. Sorimachi twice, and I was able to performs smoothly.
