On the TV Tokyo Variety Show “Nogizaka Koji-chu” (Nogizaka Under Construction) which aired on February 20th, the members selected for the upcoming Nogizaka46 29th single took place and for the very first time, Shibata Yuna (18), a fourth gen member, was selected.
Shibata who was in tears said, “I’m most grateful to the fans who have been supporting me for a long time, my family, and the members of the same group. I want to have a period of confidence. I want you to see it”.
Shibata was born in Chiba Prefecture and was an elementary school student when she joined Nogizaka46 back in November 2018. She worked as a sales person at ZOZO Marine Stadium while in high school and is now a regular on BayFM’s “Kintubu” (Friday at 7 p.m.).
