SMAP’s anti-war message song “Triangle” (2005) moving up on the RecoChoku music charts

Due to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, with the world’s attention on latest developments, SMAP’s “Triangle”, a single released back in 2005, is gaining attention because of its lyrics.

In the lyrics are as follows (in English): “A hero of a large country and a girl in the war, their lives have the same value. Both are noble lives. A gun drawn by a vigorous lad is pointing to our own hearts. Like that pain, so deeply graved”.

“Triangle” is a song about life and peace and is an “anti-war message song” among fans.

On the music distribution site, RecoChoku, the single ranked 2nd place for the first time in 17 years. Also, former SMAP member Inagaki Goro (48) introduced the song “Triangle” on his radio program on February 28th and said, “We will deliver this song with a wish for peace” which received a huge response from fans and listeners.
