Rocket Punch Takahashi Juri fans show their anger towards Woolim Entertainment for Juri’s lack of vocals and screentime for “CHIQUITA”

The K-Pop group Rocket Punch which features former AKB48 member Takahashi Juri, Kim Yeonhee, Kim Suyun, Seo Yunkyoung, Kim Sohee and Jeong Dahyun are back with their fourth mini album “Yellow Punch” and a new music video titled “CHIQUITA”.

The video has surpassed 8 million views but while the song and music video initially received praise, once the line distribution videos started being posted on YouTube, people started to realize, Japanese member Takahashi Juri hardly received any vocal lines for the song, nor did she appear in the music video all that much.

While most of the members received nearly over 25-30 seconds for vocal line distribution, Takahashi Juri received only 8.3-9 seconds, while the second lowest was Kim Sohee with 18.3 seconds. The same can be said for video screen time with Juri and Sohee receiving the least amount of screen time.

as much as i want fair line distribution, I’m just happy they’re back. juri already proved her vocals through lots of covers and even KOMS stage. she also mentioned that the preparation for this comeback was the most fun for her among all preparations so let’s just enjoy the new music. remember how she had to discontinue promoting ring ring because of her health (especially mental health)? she has been doing a lot for the group since day one so maybe they’re putting less pressure on her this time. let’s be positive and give them a win this time.

:^/ Juri already has the least lines and then she also got the least screentime? dafuq is woollim doing. Juri might have been having fun preparing for this comeback but she deserves a lot more than ‘ooohhh’ and like a less than 15 second MV screentime. god, this is why i started hating Woollim, much after Lovelyz left. i’m expecting a better promotion of this comeback, they did Villain (DRIPPIN) dirty as well i couldn’t even feel the boys promoting. i hope this time they treat Rocket Punch better since they’re the only girl group left in Woollim. Juri deserves a lot better smh.

Poor Juri tho 🙁Suyun is the owner of one of the best vocals I’ve ever heard in this new generation of k-pop 💖, her vocal timbre reminds me a little of the voice of Dawon from WJSN who is also an excellent vocalist.

I feel like Woollim is starting to turn against Juri, they recruited her and let her sing a lot on her debut song maybe because they hope her fame from AKB48 & PD48 can attract fans and make them famous as soon as possible. But later on, her singing line decreased. Why couldn’t they cut a few lines from Suyun or Yunkyoung and pass it on to her? Some of them are not even difficult to sing

I really love this song, it’s so catchy. But seriously, give Juri better lines!!!! She’s is as talented as the other girls, don’t ignore her.
