Murashige Anna comments on her stance on Russia invading Ukraine

Former HKT48 member Murashige Anna, has a Japanese father and a Russian mother. Murashige was asked by News Zero about Russian’s invasion of Ukraine.

Murashige said, “I have a Japanese father, a Russian mother, and I actually lived in Russia when I was young, so I have relatives in Russia and Ukrainian friends. It’s very painful to see in the news every day that the country where I was born and raised is at war every day. I think that war should never be done under any circumstances. I hope for peace as soon as possible. My hope from Japan”.

Murashige followed up on Twitter, “I tried not to touch it too much, but I’ve been getting some heartless comments lately. I have the same feeling that no one go to war for whatever reason. I wish for peace as soon as possible”.

Despite some hateful comments, Murashige has received a lot of support from her fans.

Meanwhile, Russian residents in Japan have received some hateful comments and Russian business owners have suffered vandalism since Russian President Vladimir Putin’s sent his troops to invade Ukraine.  But Japanese are showing their support against anti’s knowing that the Russian residents in Japan are not at fault and supporting their businesses and restaurants.
