Actor Ito Hideaki announced on his Instagram that he has left his long time agency A Team and will be now represented by Granpapa production.
The actor wrote, “I resigned A Team which I belonged for more than 20 years. From today, I officially transferred to a management company, Gran Papa production. I appreciate your continued support!”.
Ito said that the reason why he moved on his Instagram post writing, “I felt a sense of crisis that I lost the opportunity to receive guidance and encouragement just because I was an actor who became a little old man. The comfort of Team A was very good, and it was a place where I could stay as an actor comfortably until I died”.
Ito continued, “I am uncomfortable and would like to push forward as an actor while receiving guidance and encouragement from the beginning again, although I am powerless. Thank you!”
Ito wrote that what impressed him was actor Tsugawa Masahiko, a senior who he respected and was with Gran Papa productions and worked hared until his passing in August 2018.
Gran Papa Productions represents veterans such as Akino Taisaku, Iwashita Shima, Matsubara Chieko, Manda Hisako, Takahashi Yumiko, Sasano Takashi and more.
