Yoshioka Riho will no longer appear on Nissin Donbei CMs due to the end of her contract, all Dongitsune YouTube videos have been removed

Yoshioka Riho (29) will no longer portray the Dongitsune character for the popular Nissin Donbei CM’s.   All content featuring her as the character on the Nissin Donbei website and YouTube channel have been removed because the expiration of her contract with the company.

Many wondered why her character was seen to be saying goodbye and she was not featured as much on the CMs. The last CM featuring Yoshioka as her fox character was back in February 2022. And many wondered why she posted a Dongitsune image on Instagram with the hashtag “Sayonara”.

Since 2017, both Yoshioka and Hoshino Gen (41) have been popular characters for the Dongitsune CM series. Hoshino as the man who eats Donbei and Yoshioka as the woman with fox ears and tail enjoying her time while he eats his favorite food.

But towards the end of 2021, the happy CM’s started to change as Dongitsune is seen with many other men doing the same but also saying goodby to Hoshino’s character.

Because of the end of the contract, the Dongitsune CM’s have been deleted from the Official YouTube channel and NISSIN FOODS website on May 24th causing many netizens to be upset that they can’t watch it anymore.

A reporter for News Post Seven has contacted NISSIN of the deletion and were told “We will refrain from answering at this time because it is related to future brand communication strategies”.
